About the event
Curious about the pollinators buzzing around your farm? Join ACAP Cape Breton and the Island Food Network in this FREE workshop to discover the diverse pollinators inhabiting your land and learn how to attract more bees, butterflies, and other vital pollinators to enhance crop and garden yields.
During this workshop, we'll delve into the art of identifying pollinators, discuss beloved native plant species, and even get our hands dirty planting some native flora to create a thriving pollinator garden. Cap off the day with tea, coffee, and delicious snacks powered by pollinators while exchanging insights and ideas for protecting these vital creatures on our farms.
Please note: This event is scheduled to proceed rain or shine. Be sure to dress appropriately for the weather, as half of the workshop will be outdoors.
And don't forget to participate in our door prize draw! One lucky attendee will take home a stunning shrub to enhance their own pollinator garden.
